Videotaping giant manta rays off the coast of Kona. It's a new hobby!

I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest but knew Alaska would be my heart's home as soon as I stepped off that plane way back in the early 1980's. I saw the mountains and that was it! It wasn't long before I was truly in love with all the things that make living in Alaska so appealing: fishing, flying, skiing, hunting and long winter nights.

A pilot and avid outdoorswoman, many of my stories involve aviation, the military world, strong female characters and the cultures and legends of my wild, untamed Alaska. In the last few years, underwater photography and glass art have barged their way into my busy days and writing time!

Initially, I began spinning romantic stories to add spice to a long distance relationship with my husband, who was often stationed in remote locations around the state and world. It wasn’t long before the stories made their way to paper. Now my family includes all kinds of interesting characters that invade my daily conversations and cause a raised eyebrow or two in public places! I firmly believe strong female characters provide a rich backdrop for hot romance. Through inspiring imagination, they give young girls a sense of what women can really do!

I write both romantic action/suspense and paranormal romance. I enjoy weaving intricate plots with current or historical events, and cultural legends and myths.

When I'm not writing, I can be found teaching women’s self-defense seminars and martial arts, scuba diving in tropical locales, flying to meet my husband for a quick rendezvous in some romantic out-of-the-way spot, playing with graphic design… or just kicking back with my characters and developing their lives and stories.

Making a video is not as easy as it looks! Watch this and you will get the idea. But we did have a lot of fun. Thanks Matt, Errol and Greg, for your hard work and continued laughter.
